Plano Senior High School
Plano Senior High School, often known as Plano, Plano Senior High, or PSHS, is an 11th and 12th-grade public high school in Plano, Texas. The school is a part of the Plano Independent School District, and kids are admitted mostly based on where their houses are. Plano is a Texas Exemplary School and a two-time Blue Ribbon School. The two high schools that served as feeders for Plano Senior were Clark or Vines.
Plano Public School, established in 1891 to educate both primary and secondary school children, began sending the majority of its graduates to college by the middle of the decade. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools instantly accredited Plano High School, which was established in 1952 after splitting the elementary pupils into Mendenhall Elementary School, allowing its graduates to enter college without taking an entrance exam. The Frederick Douglass School and Plano High School were integrated in 1964, and the combined football team won the first of the school's seven state titles in 1965. The school relocated to a new 96-acre (39 ha) campus with five buildings in 1975; this campus' layout is quite reminiscent of that of a junior college. The former structure is currently home to T. H. Williams High School, which serves students in grades 9 and 10. The Class of 1978 was the only class to attend school at this campus for three years because PSHS only serviced grades 10 through 12 during the first year of operation at the new campus.

Southwest Collin County, Texas's Plano is home to the independent school district known as Plano Independent School District (PISD or Plano ISD). About 100 square miles (260 km2) of area are served by Plano ISD, of which 66 square miles (170 km2) are located inside the City of Plano. Additionally, the district accepts students from parts of Allen, Carrollton, Garland, Lucas, Murphy, Parker, and Wylie as well as from the northern parts of Dallas and Richardson.
More than 55,000 students are served by PISD, which also has 6,400 teaching employees working in 65 schools, two special education facilities, and four early childhood education centers. The operating budget for PISD in 2012–13 was US$434.5 million. In November 2017, the district appointed Sara Bonser as interim superintendent. Sara Bonser, the first woman to hold the Superintendent position for the District, was appointed Plano ISD's superintendent on March 6, 2018. (retired at the start of 2022)
